ROSEMEAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 19, 2005--Southern
California Edison (SCE), the utility subsidiary of Edison
International, today announced that its board of directors has elected
Thomas M. Noonan, 53, as senior vice president and chief financial
officer, effective June 1, 2005.
Noonan currently serves as vice president and controller for
Edison International and SCE. He succeeds Jim Scilacci who became
chief financial officer of the Edison Mission Energy Group of
companies in March of this year. As announced separately today, Linda
G. Sullivan, currently assistant controller of Edison International
and SCE, will replace Noonan as vice president and controller for both
companies.
"Tom's years of experience, coupled with his successful career as
the company's chief accounting officer in the regulatory and financial
areas, have made him an integral part of our organization," said SCE
Chairman John Bryson. "Tom will provide exceptional financial
leadership at SCE and will be an excellent addition to our leadership
team."
Noonan began his Edison career nearly 30 years ago, as a
regulatory cost specialist in the regulatory policy and affairs
department and has served in both the treasurer's department and the
controller's department. He assumed his current role in 1999. As the
vice president and controller for the company, Noonan has had overall
responsibility for corporate financial reporting and accounting,
budgeting, payroll and property accounting.
Noonan earned an M.B.A. with an emphasis in finance, investments
and accounting from George Washington University. He completed a
leadership development program at the University of Southern
California and is a certified public accountant. He lives in Glendora,
Calif., with his wife and two sons.
